  1. Welcome to our club...we have problems...many many problems...first and foremost learn to divide by 10...When the wife asks - how much did you spend - $300 become $30.
  2. GPS speed and direction will let others guys know on the lake (if they were on the lake at the same time) know what your lures were doing...I'm bettting you were going a touch fast if you were catching steelhead, however this is just the beginning of king numbers being lower...the next number of years may be challenging...it's certainly not going to be like it was last summer.
  3. I wondered if that would happen with the cooler water....thanks for the report.
  4. Welcome to the site Jeff...great to hear you are getting the kids on the water...nothing better than getting kids (especially your own) addicted to salmon fishing. We look forward to a report from you in the future.
  5. I don't miss those days at the launch...but I do enjoy laughing from the marina (in eye sight of the ramp)...it never ends the idiocy that happens at the ramp...amazing that soemone doesn't get shot at times.
  6. Awesome...great job Frank...on all accounts.
  7. Looks like a great day on the lake with great company. Thanks for the report and the porn.
  8. Should be an interesting weekend. Check out the buoy information.... lake turned big time already...http://uglos.mtu.edu/show_therm_plot_all.php?station=45029&meas=String&uom=E&time_diff=0&time_label=GMT&therms=1,8
  9. Sweeeet....I've not heard anyone catching that many in a long time. Thanks for the report. Don.
  10. Nice work Dave...great to hear some kings coming in.
  11. My mouth is watering...thanks for sharing Aaron.
  12. I'm right with Ken...40 lb fluoro and either two single hooks or a single/trebble combo.
  13. Nice job showing the out of towners how we do it.
  14. At least you had a lot of action to keep you busy.
  15. Great big hogs...keep em coming...tournament scores are going to be interesting this year
  16. Great "quick trip". Way to get into them.
  17. Soak it in dawn - unscented - or ivoy dish soap...just make sure whatever you use is unscented...After a skunk we'll soak everything - reels, weights, lures, etc.
  18. Well, this will be an interesting weekend and week to follow. Temp is going to change drastically with the blow and also the night time temp going back to less than the den of satan temperatures... First thing to check is surface temp on the satellites - if the cold water flipped up top in close - game on - fish should be in close.
  19. Interesting question - we run floods at dark because it's easier to see the poles in the riggers and dipseys go off - never thought about whether it attracts or detracts fish. In the ocean then run under water lights to attract bait fish - wonder if the floods have a silimar effect.....anyone know?
  20. That's what I was thinking - LOTs of work solo - great job.
  21. VERY nice job Dan and great report...thanks for sharing.
  22. Nice work Jeff, always like hearing about kids getting hooked on the sport.
  23. You'll get that with some charters - they don't want you to touch their stuff or offer any suggestions and they certainly don't want to help you learn how to fish. My advice - find another charter - there are plenty out there who DO want to help you and DO want to have pleasant conversations. Karma is a great thing....paybacks come to those who deserve them.
