  4. Monster salmon and a bucket of perch, very nice day on the water sir.
  5. Was in SH last night and had a guy just keep turning into me even as i kept turning trying to fight a fish. Recognized him from last year doing the same things. For the love of god there were 3 boats out there.
  6. Happens out on lake mich all the time. Last night we were almost to pier heads and finally just saw the back light as he cut in front of us at Mach 10. Last year had a guy there do the same thing with no light at all. Glad i didnt yell too much cuz at the dock he 6'8" and drunk as a skunk:eek: Had a PWC come across inland lake at 1030PM last year, obviously no lights. Same night had a guy out tubing at 1015PM with only front nav light, brilliant. These people are just waiting for a Darwin award.
  7. Welcome aboard Dennis. Hope you get some tight lines soon. Give us a shout if ya need any help!
  8. Thanks for the report and great pics Rob. You guys get some bigguns over there:o Looks like they are starting to get pretty dark and ready for that run.
  9. Nice catch Don. 4 on in 20 minutes will get the heart pumpin. Great catch, lets see some pics!! Was it really that busy out on the big lake or just pleasure boaters? SH had 3 boats:p
  10. Fishwhisperer and I took the ye ole Nee Hi out for a session. Ended 5 for 6 i believe. 3 Kings and 2 STEELIES!!!! First steel in 2 years on my boat, and we got 2:p Fished 80 to 105fow pretty much straight out. 8 color size 3 Jplug green ladder back- 9# Steelie, 1st steelie ever on the Nee Hi. Mag Green dolphin on rigger down 83' -12# King, missed one on same rig. 150' 45#Copper with Miami Dolphin took 2nd steelie, first time 150' has caught fish all year. Wire diver set on 2 back 220' SD Mountain Dew w/ No See Um- 16# King. Rigger with MS Green Flounder Pounder down 76' late as pulling rods, 10# King. That was the fun part. Current was tough and we ended up wrapping the 150', 200' and 300' copper at different points mixed in with the rigger, core and the best was pulling rods with the 200' copper wrapped in wire dipsy:mad: that was a blast:no:. Lots of short copper now but didnt lose any gear at least! Another fun night on the Nee Hi with Randy. Late night, didnt make it home til 1am at work at 615am:eek: Was it worth it, you know it was!!

  17. Some great pics Ken. Love that MS Nightcrawler;) Cool pic of the pier heads. Always interesting to see how each person does things differently on their boat. Million ways to do each thing, keeps ya on ur toes.
  18. TY for the report. Look like some dandy fish! Thanks for the fish porn:) It always helps as the wind was blowing ridiculous here all weekend. Looked like some nice flat water there:D
  19. I have seen and learned that loosening the drag a touch before pulling the rod out of the holder has helped me out also. I agree with Adam too that the longer leads seem to help. I am limited due to small boat. But as Adam said its sounds like yours were gettin hammered. Some big fish out there this year;) Just trying to help. 6 dipsy combos is crazy expensive. TY for the report.
  20. Do you use snubbers, and if so what length/ and brand?
  21. Sounds like a fun week! 6 dipsy rigs is getting spedny, were they on braid or wire? Thanks for the report. Sounds like a great time in a gorgeous place! TY for the report.
  22. How the heck did they make it through a lock and dam?? At least the had the barrier before they passed that. This could prove to really hurt the Great Lakes not only in terms of fishing but No Boating basically. Scary:angry2:
  23. TY for the reports Andy and Greg. Andy thanks for calling to rub it in and then bailing when ya got another fish on:no: Ill have to call u next time im out:lol:
