Adam, Great report on "their face just lights up with joy." If you get as much enjoyment out of seeing kids catch fish as much as I do, YOU ARE ALREADY A CAPTAIN. My dad and I have been fishing Saginaw Bay about as long as you have, some 20 to 30 years, and when we have ever taken kids fishing it just makes that trip even more special. This past weekend ran about the same pattern that you reported and did well just West of North Island befor going into Bayport for a fish sandwich, then East of Big Charity in 18' FOW. We are still finding plenty of smaller walleye, 18" to 24", in the Inner Bay but when we want good solid 26" and up we are finding them in 18' to 26' FOW, NE of Big Charity were the water is a little cooler. Hope to see you on the water some day. Happy fishing from Dave and Warren @ K-2
