  1. I agree with Josh been using it for years. When I tie 2 hook harnesses I use a snell knot on the upper and a Uni on the bottom hook works really well.
  2. Well done Terry. Looks like you are off to another fantastic season.
  3. Welcome to the big Pond Anthony if you are back in St Joe this year give the MCsquared a call on 68 we will help you out all we can. Thanks for the St Joe report.
  4. I second Terry I have had no problems with them I use a line spool system and keep a lot of tension on the mother spool and it comes on nice and tight. I would suggest taking a lot of care when setting the dipsey out. I had a guy just put the reel in freespool with the clicker on and over ran the dipsey and made a heck of a mess. That can lead to bad recovery if u are not care ful.
  5. Nice work Eric now is the time to bang em.
  6. Nice job Duane. Keep posting the St Joe reports, I have been hoping to start a group for St Joe. See ya on the Lake.
  7. Nice job Terry way to put the smackdown on em.
  8. Really happy to get you and your dad some really good fish. It was a blast.
  9. Nice job Ed I see that Saturdays program just continued right on. Well done.
  10. Glad to see some more St Joe reports on the site. Was beginning to think I was the only one posting from there.
  11. They were about the hottest ticket on the boat, Wire dipsey on 3 back 68 With the 000 red dodger the fireball gold and red fly took 5.
  12. Ya shoulda been there Terry!
  13. Jim: Thanks for posting the pics, I thought I followed the instructions, but I guess I am a computer idiot.
  14. Well done Scott. The orange Life jacket of shame should always go on in a distress situation. He was really fortunate u were able to find him.
  15. If u want to fish St Joe don' t worry about going deep, the fish are in the river Plume.
  16. Set lines at 8:15 in front of the piers in 35 FOW, south troll, worked out to 40 FOW and lines started popping. Fished the rest of the day between 37 and 60 FOW from the North Pier down to the Seawall, stayed in the dirty water all day. Ended the day 18 for 26 with several nice kings and a couple of smaller kings and 10 coho. What worked? I will upload pics and you can see but he wire dipsey on 3 out 78 and on 3 out 68 took 6 fish, Riggers were set from 12 down to 25, 3 color 2 color and 1 color on the boards, every rod on the boat caught fish. Thanks to Kevin and Mike Leach for spending the day with Mike and Mike on the MC2 I tried to download pic from the gallery to this thread but it didn't work ck my gallery and u can see most of the baits and the hero pics.
  17. We can only hope that the colder water inshore will bring the Ho's in to the beach, I will be out of St Joe weather permitting, give the MC2 a call we will help u out if we can. Channel 68.
  18. Nice catch, all I can say is YUM.
  19. Check out greenreelman.com in St Clair, he has a nice website and u can communicate directly with ED.
  20. Glad we just got the boat into the slip and chose not to fish Tues afternoon. If weather permits will be going over later this week possibly Friday to install some new electronics and maybe fish the morning.
  21. What r u calling shaker coho at this time of the year? Those are the steak of the lake best eating u can get for a salmon. Anything over about 14 " is goin in my box. Hope to get the boat launched and into the slip today. If not tomorrow. I am all ready to go and my fishn partner is still workin. He was hoping to get off by 2:00 but he hasn't called yet/.
  22. Nice Job on the Eyes.
  23. I second the drift socks. Cabelas has them for about 50 bucks each. They do stabilize the boat in a chop and u can troll down to Walleye speed with them no problem.
  24. Last 2 years the dirty water was where u needed to be early. Last year March 31 we limited out in 20 minutes staying in the dirty water. That is the warmest around and if u look at the whole pic that dirty water is only in about the top 6 to 8 feet . Try it and see if u dont find fish. If they are there yet. I really think that Michigan City is probably the best bet this early. But we are putting the boat in the slip in St Joe Saturday.
