My dads little boat had manuals on it and we ran 10 lb balls on it. I would put the 200 ft 150 lb spools on that way as you cut back you aren't getting to short to quick having to replace cable more often.

I said most not all that i have had interactions with and that traveled the road i lived on, and it seems like i ran into more idiots than decent people. I had sleds also when living up there. I also had respect for other people lands and didn't do a top speed everywhere i went. If i did want to play i went down to the east jordan snowmobile club where they had a track set up and saftey people and eqipment there. I guess i learned my lesson from an accident i had when i was 14 and hit a deer on my dads quad and ended up in the hospital with a concussion and they thought a broken back. I am also suffering back problems now from that accident as i went over the handle bars and hit a tree. I was only doing 35 - 40 as that was top speeed on that qaud. After that i was afraid of hitting another one without anything around me to protect me a little more.

when i was living up near Boyne City i was on a road like that. I was pulling out of my drive one day looked both ways nothing coming. Pull out and this sled went past me, had to be pushing close to 80 miles an hour he almost took out my truck. My drive sat in the low point between two hills and they would do this crap day in and day out. I also had a field next to my house and had them buzzing through there all the time as a short cut. I had my rifle range set up in that field. They just completely ignored the 100 orange no trespassing signs i had up. Finally called the state police and they started sitting there and giving out tickets. It just got old and i was sick of that crap. Edit: I had one guy that had the nerve while my brother and i were in MY FIELD shooting trap tell me him and his buddys planned on racing there and to get out of that field. I said it was mine and if you thought you could outrun a 12 gauge go ahead and try.

I dont think most snowmobilers have any common sense, or if they do have any it flys away when they strap on that helmet and start the sled. I got to hate them when i lived in northern Michigan

I tried that way of making it once. Minus the mayo for me though. I think the key is to have like a grill rack to hold it up in the pan so the fat drips down away from the fillet as it cooks. It was ok the way i made it but haven't attempted it again. If i did i would have something to keep the fish up out of the drippings.

I read an article just a little bit ago about picking up fielder. They should have a good strong team this year again.

Tried using it a few years ago and didn't notice a huge change in numbers of fish caught. Figured it wasn't worth the hassle or stench and havn't used it again. Holland now -Ludington when i was using it

West Marines Hours in West Michigan
Line Dancin replied to Line Dancin's topic in General Discussion
I've been doing that from time to time but i hate paying the shipping and then having to wait. -
I have been emailing with West Marine about their store hours. The grand rapids and holland stores for the last few years have changed their hours and only open till five during the week including summer months. This means when i need to work on something on the boat i have to wait till the weekend to get things when i would rather be fishing. I would rather be able to get what i need one evening earlier in the week and have the weekday nights to fix or mount what ever i need to do instead of trying to do it during the weekend when i want to fish. I finally have gotten in touch after emailing and complaining about this for months to them with someone that seems to actually care about customer service. They are looking for imput on having a night during the week open later to accomadate people that work till 5. At this time they are planning on only keeping stores open during the summer again till 5 pm. What the lady told me was to let people know and have them go to the site click on customer service and send a complaint about the stores hours and which location you frequent during the week and she will be recieveing them. If they get enough comments on it they are considering having a night open late to try and increase traffic in their stores.

You'll want the longer booms for the rear riggers to clear the swim platform. If you place them right there is no problem running four riggers. I have four on my 8 foot beam and dont have issues. Maybe its because i grew up with all my dads boats being rigged that way and just being used to it. Personally i like the four rigger set up, but to each his own. As far as trees you cant beat tonys prices. Tell him your from the site and he will work with you. I have quite a bit of equipment from him.

Had to do that to my brother steelie fishing a few winters ago. He was casting a spinner got it hung in a tree gave it a tug the lure came at his face and he threw his hand up and i heard it slap his hand and then the cursing started. He was going to cut off the hook and drive to ER. I remebered seeing that done so i tried it. It really works and pops the hook right out. just have to remember to push down on the eye on the hook to release the barb.

That is an awesome sunset pic. Did you use any filters when you took it or just ambient light.

Looking at the lights on face book and reading franks post are the uv lights typically black light that say they are uv? I want to make sure i get the right thing.

I keep hearing about the uv flashlight idea currently i am usning camera flashes. where is the best place to get one and how do you know. I have been looking and most don't say anything about UV anywhere and sales people say "oh yeah they are UV". I just dont want to get taken.

straight out the back should be deeper. side shallower.
-
I completely disagree with dropping two riggers. I run four. some days the rigger bite is better than long lines and other dyas the reverse. When the rigger bite is on with the four riggers i can fill a cooler fast. Not only that but say you are taking fish on a 300 copper. get your rigger into that same productive water and they will start popping. Sometime you just have to play with lead length to get them to start firing. In my spread i always also have a couple dipseys out plus my cores and coppers. In my four rigger spread i alwasys keep my two off the back deeper than the side riggers.

rouge river area
Line Dancin replied to fisf crazy's topic in Michigan Waters Fishing Reports - Salmon and Trout
I didn't notice the spelling till you mentioned it. there is a rogue river off the Grand River just north of grand rapids that is what i was assuming. and it is a very popular steelhead river so i took it as that one. -

Were you up by the mill or down by the dam. I was thinking of venturing out saturday. -
AMEN to that. Or how about you are the only boat out in an area and some other decides to come out that way then turns right in front of you forcing you to turn to avoid a tangle with them. The getting flipped off by idiot that cut you off.
