  1. I was going to say them also. They did all the vinyl work for our class 8 trucks and trailers when i was at the dealership. They do a great job.
  2. Looking good Jim
  3. Well you know a set are going on my boat. The decal looks really sharp Jim.
  4. When using bucket you'll want to cut some inch to inch and a half holes in the bottom. About 4 should do.
  5. i dont think a bike grip would work the net handle is to big a diameter
  6. I have two ranger net with the octagonal handles. The rubber grips have come off and have disappeared. I have tried to get new grips from ranger and the guy keeps telling me he sent them and blaming it on the post office loosing them. I was willing to pay for them and he said he would just send them well after what he claims was a couple attempts to send them i still dont have them and now he isnt responding to my emails. So if you have lost a net grip what have you used in its place. i dont like the sharp end rubbing on my fiberglass deck.
  7. My Dad had one we bent it a couple times then went to bags. I would use bags or buckets. As stated it will add stability in rougher water.
  8. we were talking at the show today about twoother colors that dont represent anything under water but are still two of the best colors around the five of diamonds and the red and white daredevil spoons. they dont represent anything but are two of the most used and sold spoons there is. I do agree with fire tiger being one of the best colors. I have it in different cranks and spoons both
  9. yes my friend has used this parts center and his prices were really good and service was really quick. Ged Strazynski Ludington, Michigan 231-843-7862
  10. Thats to bad i have liked dealing with neail over the years. Ben he does keep goofy hours in the off season keep calling and leaving messages and he will get back with you. I do have a couple motors in the basement they aren't the tournament motors tough. Shoot me a pm with your number if your interested. I was going to them for spares but was thinking of putting them on craigs list.
  11. Thats one reason i quit buying a lot of stuff at gander. Even worse is Cabelas policy they started last year. You only have 30 days to make a return there. No exceptions, and they dont care if you live close to 3 hours away. I tried to explain that to a manager telling him that i usually only get to that area every other month and was basically told sorry for your luck call the manufacture if you have a problem. Only place that still has a liberal policy is bass pro. So they get most of my business now.
  12. They do have food concessions but they are expensive. Most of the guys from our booth go down the street to subway it is walking distance from the show. there is also the usual fast food joints just a few blocks away and regular restaurants in the area. Parking is usually either under the show in the underground parking lot or across the street at the fifth third bank. I think it is like 7 bucks for parking. There is free parking in the area but you will have a walk. Saturday is usually busy the earlier you get there the easier it is to walk through by noon it is pretty full. There is usually good deals on items it just depends on what you are looking for. If you want to make it an evening after 7 the show really slows down and it is easier to walk around and see things and not be elbow to elbow. only proble is some of the booths bring items that once they run out they dont have replacements so you take a chance of maybe missing a deal. Stop by the Michigan United Conservation Clubs Booth i will be there all four days from open to close. Not sure if your wife will like it or not. They do have the woodland carvers at the show and they have some pretty neat items for sale. They also have the taxidermy show going on and that is pretty cool to see some of the mounts that the taxidermists do.
  13. Yep is is payback from last season it sounds like.
  14. I am picking mine up tonight. hopefully i will have it ready in a couple weeks to go.
  15. I was looking at the 2012 chip for my HDS. Right now i am using an old nautic path and Lake Master Pro Maps. I like certain feature on each and both will work. I was talking with the guys at the Lowrance booth that i know about the new mapping software and it is going to be like 200 - 250 for the 2012 maps. The 2011 were like 200 and some places are clearing those out for the new ones. They are supposed to have really did a good job on these new chips from what i was told. I found last years (2011) Lake insight HD on amazon for 98 bucks right now.
  16. My dads little boat we did that and then mounted an external speaker to hear the radio better as it was muffled in the glove box. The speakers run like 8 bucks at radio shack to do that.
  17. Here is how i rig mine for walleye. For coho i am going to replace the 12lb with 20 lb leader.
  18. I have a spray bottle of vinegar and water half and half. After washing in out and letting it dry i give it a quick spray and then put it away. Just enough to cover the surface and not pool in the bottom of the cooler. No fish smell when you open it next time and no danger of bleach.
  19. Shane owns Dreamweaver. the guy that came down to the marina wasn't shane. It was about 6 years ago and i dont remember the guys name that came to my buddy boat.
  20. During the ludington tourney a few years back everyone was out of copper. I sent him an email and he met us on the dock with two spools to get us through. Since then i have made quite a few purchases over the years from him.
  21. Well decided to go for a ride we are at my parents and i didn't realize the show was only 45 min away. I have to say i was a little disappointed i did pick up a few things but nothing special. thanks for the replies
  22. I need to do a brisket again maybe next saturday since i am going to be home.
  23. I didn't know gas went up again. I guess i won't go i am not spending that much on gas. So much for a recovery in this country.
  24. Thats what i was thinking he was comparing it to GR. I like some of the smaller shows as Showspan has priced out the little shops and individuals making a couple products. Sometimes you get some great things from those type places. We went down to the small show in monroe and one of the charter captains came up with a release saver for your big boards if your line breaks. He is in brest bay where i dock for walleye fishing. These things work sweet and for 15 bucks a piece are well worth the money. Like him though he couldn't afford to go to a showspan show for the little money he is making off these things. I'll post a pick of them on monday when i get home.
