  1. Nice job i have yet to get out ice fishing this year.
  2. Jon call goldcoast in port sheldon. they had some there but it has been a while since i was there last.
  3. Im planning the same thing as jon.
  4. We havent been back there in quite a few years it is just to shallow and if you get off the channel at all you are hung up. Once was enough for me. Besides the fish cleaning station at holland makes it worth it to go to holland. then i dont have to deal with carcasses at home.
  5. Congrats Matt. Dont let fishing become just another job. Keep it fun.
  6. welcome aboard i also fish out of holland and monroe for a couple months.
  7. Welcome aboard and i completely understand the spring fever.
  8. I've got two and wouldnt trade em. Franks at the gr show usually has the best price on them.

  10. we just use rubberbands when we do use fixed slider. most of the time we use free sliders and find them more effective.
  11. welcome aboard and dont feel afraid to ask questions.
  12. Welcome aboard this is a great site with great people. Your images worked.
  13. It would be nice to get out as early as last year but we still need more of these storms dumping snow and not lake effect on us to get the water up.
  14. Sounds like a good time. Cant beat fresh perch. Hopefully the tons of snow will give us higher lake levels this spring.
  15. I am looking at moving to rose harbor marina this season because of the low water. I know i will be in the slip the last weekend in april. and there through the second week in july. Hopefully we'll be down there before then. just wont be able to get in the slip as they are planning on dredging the marina the second and third weeks of april. I am pming my cell to you.
  16. Yes when we used to pull inlines we used 7 ft m shimano fx rods. Now i have 8 ft ml for my big boards. I wanted 7 ft but got such a good deal on the 8s i couldnt pass them up.
  17. you guys think a med is heavy enough for pulling slide divers? Ryan i was going to wait till the GR show when franks is there they had the wilderness rods the cheapest. Other wise i was going to get the tdrs from outdoorsman. I will be there all four days running the MUCC booth.
  18. I am looking for two new rods. They are going to be for walleye fishing but pulling slide diver lite bites on braid. They are not going to be salmon rods so i am not looking for an overly expensive rod. they'll get maybe two months of use on the weekends. My salmon braids are on taloras. I am looking at 8 6 MH. which would be the better rod to use a wilderness or a tdr. i can get the wilderness for 15 ea and the tdrs are about 30 ea. they are both glass rods. but which is the better for what i want to do with them for the money and longevity.
  19. was talking to gracen at the outdoorsman and he was saying his braid divers are going on thier seventh season and he hasnt had an issue yet. He uses 50 lb power pro. He said PP says to replace every three years. I have a few going on their sixth season this year. when it starts breaking for no reason then i will replace it but not till it rots if it does rot.
  20. Pap that elite that you were asking about on the walleye forum is going to be on sale at bass pro starting next weekend.
  21. lobi you would most likely tangle the lines when the next fish comes on the deeper line with the shallow one inside.
  22. And i'll bet that if you researh the purchase the money came from the parks land aquisition fund which includes a percentage of license money. How much did the bikers pay? probably nothing unless it is one of the parks deemed that you need a park tag to enter. But most of the areas that these groups are getting the trails made you dont need to pay the extra ten bucks for the parks usage to use those area. I really think that to make it fair if you want to use any state land you have to pay. Horse ten bucks, bike ten bucks just like a vehicle but again this has to be changed in the state constitution.
  23. This is a great site PAP. Not a former member still a member here too. gald you came over here. The walleye board is a good board too but doesnt seem to have very many people posting and answering questions. the guys on here are very helpfull and will answer any question you have.
  24. Theres other little issues but those are the biggies right now. In the agreement with pontiac state the airport was supposed to replace the lands that they claimed in their expansion, with lands that offered the same usability. what they got were multiple areas of 10 to 15 acres that you cant hunt on. they have still after ten years have not replaced the whole 300 acres.
  25. And is my license money going to groom and make new trails for horse and bikes.
