  1. Thanks Andy. Hope the weather report is wrong for the next few days.
  2. Two nice Kings this am. Blue Dolphin 45 down in 125 fow at the Bathhouse and meat rig on dipsey diver 110 back. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Fish are scattered. Water temp at the surface 56 degrees. I did not see another fish boated but some reported good catches on the radio. The surburban is back in running order, $2600.00 later, very expensive venison. I did not even try to salvage the meat...7,000 lb truck vs 100 lb deer. Deer won but it cost him his life...H.
  3. On the water at 5:00 am. Set lines at Bathouse in 80 fow trolled the shelf out to 130 fow. First fish at 7:30, double shakers on downriggers at 60 ft. down. 8 am laker on meat rig on dipsey 110 back. 8:30 7 lb King on downrigger at 40 ft. 35 pulls back on blue dolphin. 9:00 12 lb.King on glow spoon 40 ft. down. Last fish was a hitchiker, never saw the rod tip jiggle, 60 down on blue dolphin. All fun, first day on the water for Skip'n. On another note. I hit a deer south of Muskegon comming from Florida. Took a week to get the Surburban repaired.
  4. This should be doable. I just have to remember to bring pen and paper along with plastic baggies...no big deal. There is usually a person at the launch that asks to check for tagged fish. With the economy as it is they may be cutting back on personnel...H.
  5. Hi Andy, I hope you have all this figured out by the time I get to Ludington. I can't wait for your tutorial on lingo...H.
  6. Will see you on the lake next week...H.

  10. Great to hear the fish are that far north. We will be there in two weeks...H.
  11. One more week and then off to the races for the long trip north.
  12. Thanks Rayman96. Teaching does have its rewards. Used to be June, July and August but in Florida they figured out a way to screw up even that.
  13. I am there from June 8th til mid August. Have fished out of Manistee and Onekama as well. I live in Florida now but summer in Ludington. Have been doing that program for 14 years. I still have to figure out a program every time I leave the harbor. I added meat rigs last year and did very well with them. I plan to add wire divers this year. If anyone has info I would appreciate hearing about the set up. Thanks...H.
  14. Thanks everyone. I am three weeks away from summer break. Two months in Ludington just chasing fish. If you see me at the ramp give out a shout. White GMC Suburban with Florida plates. White 24 ft Bayliner with Florida registration. Always put in at Loomis street ramp. Wifes name is Laura and I am Harold...Give Skip"n a shout on channel 9 and lets talk fishin. If anyone wants to do a meet and greet in Ludington, I am in.
  15. Hello from the sunny south. We live in Florida but we have a summer home in Ludington, MI. Will be there on June 8th. We stay through mid August and chase the fish around Lake Michigan. Our rig is a 24 ft Bayliner hardtop. Skip'n is the name on the cooler, as in Skip'n School. Can't wait for school to get over and head north...H.
