  4. Good question Rob. I will give that some thought. This whole idea has about 5 minutes worth of thought at this point:)
  5. We had our meeting tonight and setup our schedule for this season with very few changes all rules and entry fees will remain the same. The olny change will be that we are going to a 50 30 20 payout for any event under 20 boats and 40 30 20 10 payout for over 20 boats. The schedule will be cut back to 4 events with best 3 for Port Championship scoring. We are adding a charity event this year and will be joining the Tri Port Ladies charity event. I will setup a separate forum section for info and discussion on that event it will be July 7th all proceeds will go to the Susan G Komen Foundation. Our tourney dates will be May 26th at Muskegon June 9th at Muskegon Aug 11th battle of the leagues in Grand Haven Aug 25th Muskegon One item left open is a planned fall Steelhead contest with details not worked out yet. I would still like to do a evening fishing event or 2 but that is up to getting guys together and try it.
  6. amazing how sly and creative we can be:)same deal here with this boat i just got..a little here and there and see if she notices:thumb:
  7. Not sure where you can find a wire versus braid chart. Lots of conditions cause the depth to vary. To the point where sometime the best thing to do is let them out 100 or 150 ft and troll towards shore til they tap bottom. As far as knots. I put 2 overhand knots. 1 about a half an inch away from the other.
  8. i use mine more for speed these days
  9. based on last years schedule with one weekend moved due to other event changes here is what I have in mind Our tourney dates will be May 26th at Muskegon June 9th at Muskegon July 7th at muskegon Aug 11th battle of the leagues in Grand Haven Aug 25th Muskegon with blow dates the following day if possible. there will be 1 more date but we still need to figure out what it will be. the rules will be pretty much the same as last year but i will post a complete set as soon as possible. i know it seems a little vague right now just need to meet with some guys to see if were gonna change anything and wanted to throw something up and check to see how much interest we get. there will be 4 total events with 3 counting towards the year end total with 2 throw away events. we are looking to raise entry fees to increase payout a little..were trying to walk the line between a "fun"event and something that pays out enough to make it worth your time to fish..any suggestions welcome
  10. thats been tried but roger keeps taking the roadkill home:lol:
  11. ken, lets go ahead and confirm aug 11..hopefully we can make it happen this year..
  12. I had the subtroll for years and never had any problems to speak of. Went to the x4 last year and will never go back to subtroll. I can put the probe on any rigger. I can read the display anywhere in the boat. Less blowback. And it has boat speed
  13. Good to meet you Jason. It got crazy there for a while for sure. And frank, we are definatly a bunch of cards
  14. Nice to meet you too Matt. The drive was great til I got past grand rapids. Then it got pretty sketchy
  15. very nice paul..looked like a great day to be out
  16. if you guys wanna learn how to turn your boat in to a floating circus just come see me:lol:
  17. If it's an older one it's no harder than putting female blade connectors on the cord and plugging it in to where you unplug the original. If you push the toggle for down and it goes up just flip the wires(if your just looking to put a new power cord on)
  18. if the fish is ready to net at the back of the boat, then why is my crew talking about a movie they seen(yes it happened..ahem mike and doug)
