  1. With the scenario you just put up I wouldn't worry. Keep your 300 to the side as much as possible. You start running 200 and up out on the hi then you need to be a little more careful. Especially if a dipsey trips and you don't notice and it floats up into the copper

  3. done it many times..get the drags from tuna..very easy installation..youll wonder why you never did them before
  4. 2 over hand knots for me..1 above the other
  5. we do the same thing..basically you have to run to muskegon from say grand haven and wait in the pier heads with the rest of us..eliminates an unfair advantage if the bite is a lot better in grand haven and guys from muskegon lose a half hour of fishing to get to that port
  6. I've been using the same spools of blood run wire on my rods for 2 seasons and don't plan on changing it this year either. The only breaks I have had are at my knot. I had left a diver on it driving. Another time it broke when I reeled the knot thru the eyelet with the swivel. Other than that no problems. I ran the malin wire before the blood run and it was fine also

  8. i run the 4 wires myself..as far as letting them out id let the high out first..but you will need to learn to set them either way..in other words if your high diver gets hit your gonna have to set it with the low still in the water..sometimes it helps to hold the low on the opposite side of the boat while you let the high out..also turning the boat to get the high started..the lows are rarely an issue to set
  9. Fill the reel up. Sounds easy. Can suck to guess at though. Sometimes you end up having to put a super line under the copper to save some space. I usually put 150 yds of 30 pound blood run braid then I put mono then copper. The mono provides stretch and a better option for attaching your boards. You're bigger coppers will end up with less backer but they are usually closer to the boat. You don't need 500 yds of backer. You should ba able to slow and control a fish with a reasonable amount of backer
