  1. was able to sneak out for a few hours..setup in 180 just south of muskegon..3 for 3 with 1 king 1steel and 1 coho..150 copper with silver streak mag panty ho took king and 2 color with silver streak mini malibu barbie took the other 2.turned on nav lights and had red burned out so i decided to head in..and i NEED my beauty sleep.
  2. After all the less than stellar reports out of Muskegon we ran to saugatuck. Set up in 70 and worked in and out between 50 and 70 raking bottom for trout. Although this was a successful tactic it was also expensive. Hung up a rigger and had to cut the cable and wound up a little line In The prop backing up. Cleared the line and picked up 7 nice trout. Trash can with green spin n glow took 5 on diver tapping bottom. 250 copper with pearl fishscale paddle and frosted fern fly took 1 and rigger dragging bottom with trout rig took 1. Weighed 6 decent trout for 2nd place and learned where some rock piles are:). Thanks to Jason and mike for the trout lessons:thumb:
  3. At least you got out. After I turned my boat Into a line winder I pulled it to check the seal and check for water in lower unit. All is good and going back In Tomorrow.
  4. i will say im at least 500 less than the advertised price..has to do with locations and when you pay..etc.etc...
  5. you can install the drive unit fully to starboard then straighten the wheel then do your set up
  6. When were talking red and black wire in my response I'm talking about the two wires from the steering box mounted behind the steering wheel that get hooked to (I believe) the right side of the course computer
  7. I just got a slip there. I can't attest to the In out but they're service as far as everything I've dealt with has been great.
  8. When they updated the unit they changed the wires but not the instructions. Don't look at them as positive negative. You hook them up and push the 1 or 10 degree button on the control unit when it's in auto. If you push to go 10 degrees left and the wheel turns right switch the wires around
  9. just a reminder for everyone..we will be on channel 72..i will do a quick roll call about 5:50. we will stage within 1/4 mile of pierheads for a 6 am start and be checked in for weigh in at 1 at grand trunk with weigh in starting at 1:30..you dont have to use the ramp at grand trunk you can drive over your cooler from anywhere..hopefully the fishing picks up:thumb:
