how do you guys set up youre planer boards as far as the weights are concerned.is it strictly by wave action or do you set them as far forward as possible(assuming that gets it to the side of the boat more)i would like to get mine as far to the side as possible without going so far back.

mike, i know all about the walleye deal.i went out and bought a 16 foot boat 4 stroke motor,auto pilot trolling motor and all kinds of gear....and i hardly go..isnt it great?

went out with my wife and her friend.i know what you guys are thinking but they wouldnt go for it....i tried:no:any way went north about a mile to 140 and trolled the 140 to 180 depths.went 5 for 7.all smaller kings.1 on double orange crush on half core.1 on 300ft copper with mixed veggie.2 on wire 140 back with jj mac muffin(that took 4 hits)and 1 50ft down on rigger with flounder pounder.

mike this report is for you.in the two days of fishing i was out a total of 3 and a half hours.both short trips due to crew illness:no:went 4 for 6 sat in 130 to 150 fow.all on stinger lures.:no:2 on double orange with half core 1 on blue machine on wire 150 back and 1 on blue dolphin on rigger 50 dn. tues. took the kids and within 1hr the "gameboy" made my boy throw up.but got another on double orange on half core and one on blue machine 70 dn. yes mr.heckman all on stinger:grin:

ive been thinking about running one copper rod this year.i was wondering is this like leadcore in that you have to run out the full length or more like s.s wire where it can stay in the guides.

I had rigged the lines Saturday before I left with a full spread of Stinger NITRO's and flashers. mike were you running flashers with spoons?

does anyone know at roughly what point a wire dipsy reaches neutral boyancy and quits diving?im using 30# 7 strand wire.

do you need to worry about it sinking a planer board with say a 4 oz weight with full core?and with the planing device is it planing down or to the side?

trolled around 90 to 130 ft and got 2 kings.1 14lber on do-de-k on wire 60 back and 1 shaker when i pulled lines 75 ft down on rigger.

do you run them predominatly in the spring or just one or two in the spread?

anyone use flashers and flies this early and if not when do you start to run them?
