  1. ive heard they are useful in muddy water such as river plumes..though i havent used them myself..
  2. i also use pp as backer and the worst ive had is cut board clips..but i use the 50lb pp as backer..i dont know if thats the difference
  3. caught another 8 tonight..must be the lucky number...to clarify i been going out with a friend the last 2 nights and the 8 was between the 2 of us...a lot more foul hooks...but like i said they fight like crazy that way..im very new to this type of fishing..but enjoying the heck out of it
  4. went out to whitehall and ended up 8 for it seems like 800..got there about 5:30 was gone by 7..caught an enourmos mud puppy..not many people out but was fun fighting the foul hooked...the legal ones were hard to come by..but definatly throw back the foul hooked ..wether it be becouse its the right thing to do or becouse dnr are out there..going back tonight see if i cant get a few more
  5. i like to use the blacks brand release with the wire clip..i like it cuz it attaches above the cannonball and the cable can spin all it wants and wont wrap up the release
  6. ended up with 2 white fish and this walleye..i only got to net it...mike got the glory but its the biggest ive seen..orange and gold husky jerk..caught the whitefish on silver hopkins

  10. alright...you guys are killing me...now im interested..you just park a boat in the channel and jig?just a regular hopkins spoon?or is bait the best way to do it..like franks way..with a hook and bobber and wax worm?

  12. got a late start so ened up missing any open bait shops...was limited to wesco crawlers..caught quite a few nice gills behind the clipper..surprised to see wesco selling spawn bags...
  13. im eating a little crow here..but im gonna have to say...blue machine from michigan stinger..im really starting to convert to stinger...just wish they were a little tougher...bent a lot...but some say thats good:)
  14. i am going in about 2 hours..ive seen a lot on muskegon lake by the bear lak entrance...and sometimes by the black bouay...hopefully ill know soon:)
