  1. any idea on cost yet?
  2. so is the wmfl in the tank this year or is someone else running it?....is the b4k the only thing going on?
  3. just a heads up to anyone who wants to order that gps...my order was denied becouse they are permanantly out of stuck...so im back to ordering a bluechart:(
  4. this turned out to be an expensive thread for me...i just bought this gps....i have to spend 220 to get cartography for my garmin...for a little more i got this and it has navionics gold with it...i hope its a good unit...ive never heard anything bad about raymarine though
  5. youll hear a lot of people saying the more frayed and ragged the skirt gets the better it produces..i retie until it stops producing...
  6. ive thought about it...if i didnt already have the rod and had to buy a rod and a twilli....i would probably just spend the extra 25 0r 30 bucks and get the roller....but im sure you mentioned that rod cuz you already have it..i imagine depending on what the material youre guides are made of they would last a season or two...i think(i dont know)you might have to worry about the wire dragging on the guides and maybe pig tailing the wire
  7. welcome..a lot of nice people with good info on this site...the nicest is don from the fishsniffer though:grin:
  8. the downrigger connection jim was talking about to disconnect the downrigger is the same as the sub troll..again just pull it out like an rca connector
  9. i have the sub troll..i lke the big analog display you can see every fluctuation in speed..it has a small digital temp display in it also...ive never had a problem with the probe (nothing withstands the prop however)as far as removal its a little tough..it has ibeleive 3 wires in the back im guessing here i havent seen it in a while i only remove it for winter..1 for the backlight 1 for power(with inline fuse)1 for the probe..it can be setup with quick disconnects.i havent used the other brands so i cant comment on them but i like how i can see the display from anywhere in the boat under any light condition
  10. well i just ordered the raymarine ds600x...man i hope it dont show up with something crazy wrong with it...i looked all over the net and the next cheapest i could find it was 699.00
  11. no problem here mike
  12. i personally like the walleye boards and if i was stuck with just 2 cores...i guess i might go with 3 color and 7 color and buy an assortment of dive bombs to target different depths.i like spoons and later in the season spoons and plugs...ive never run flasher flies off them...i might try though i hear some guys do well with them...as far as a release goes ..ive never really had an issue that wasnt of my own making with the walleye boards
  13. i think the bunny would be pretty sore after that...unless...is there a saugatuck easter bunny?
  14. im looking to try the browns soon...how fast do you guys run with body baits out?i read where dirty dog was catching fish with his board almost on the beach...is it pretty typical to be that close?
  15. no problem mike...im glad its appreciated...if you dont mind id like to thank bauer sheet metal(my shop)for donating the matl.pro fab...our sister company for donating the laser work and monarch powdercoating for donating the powdercoat.hopefully i can put some big fish on it this year...either way i cant wait to fish the events and hopefully we get a big turnout
  16. thats kind of what i thought frank...that was my main reason for not running them i figure if one hits on the outside i wouldnt be able to put it back there cus i run lines progressively deeper towards the boat and i couldnt put the high line back out close to the boat...thanks for the reply
  17. also can you put any kind of preload on youre rod..i guess im seeing a rod getting bit..then releasing the clip and then there being slack in the line...dont know though...iv thought about running these..
  18. if you get a fish on youre ...say...outer line...furthest from the boat...which i would assume would be highest in the water...do you have to reset all the lines on that side to get it back out?
  19. i do think its nice to have dedicated gps and fish finder..ill probably just get the chip...thanks
  20. im debating what to do ..i have a garmin 276c chartplotter..it works great...but it has no charts loaded in it...ive been looking at buying the bluechart g2 cartography for it but i also would like to have a gps fishfinder combo you guys know of any good deals on a combo unit or do you think you would just buy the cartography?
  21. there is a loop in the throttle linkage to where at idle there is not tension..i think becouse its tiller controlled.and i am using an fm controller so i have a much larger selection of crystals..
  22. i guess i making a setup like the trollmaster pro only wireless
  23. i am very bored....i plan on taking apart one of my r/c cars and putting the steering servo in my kicker motor by making a mounting bracket..then im going to put in an f.m receiver with a failsafe..i can control the speed with the throttle control but it returns itself to off...i am going to use the throttle trim on the controller to control the throttle on the kicker...my question is..do they make a rheostat type controller for a servo so that i dont have to have an r/c gun on my boat im thinking like a dimmer switch only operating on a r/f
  24. its my understanding that the center chip is for balance...front chip sends out 50,000 volts and theback chip is for data acquisition which completely nullifies my whole spreadsheet concern
  25. :lol::lol:THAT IS FUNNY!!!:lol:
