  1. people on the radio werent sounding very happy...lots of 1 and 2 for 3s... just to clarify...i put that cus i feel very fortunate to be lucky enough to catch 7 not cus i feel i outfished someone...
  2. im sure youve already thought about how much worse it could be...nicely done frank
  3. heres a pic i will give you specifics when i get my book out of the boat...went 7 for 8....people on the radio werent sounding very happy...lots of 1 and 2 for 3s...first king was biggest 8 minutes after we set lines...hit 3 color with glow perch moonshine....seen one swim behind the boat with its back out of the water...surprised how high they were....best water 115...1 steelhead 3 greasers 3 kings
  4. i can tell you aint in muskegon:no:
  5. i wondered that too...then i met some of these guys and you get to know them and it isnt the way "most" of them are..
  6. ive met a lot of great people thru these tourneys and this website....ive have multitudes more fishing friends becouse of these tourneys and thats way more important than entry fees and paybacks...since joining these leagues and meeting some of the people ive fished from south haven to ludington...ive had experiances i wouldnt trade for any tourney payout...theres nothing better than calling up someone and getting some up to the second info on whats going on in say south haven that may get something going where im at...i feel i could call,2unreel,dirtydog,plumcrazy,glf,jimusseretc,etc and ask what they are catching on and they would tell me exactly what they are doing and they would get the same from me...and all this came about from these tourneys and websites
  7. if anything this is gonna tell you how far you arent....add to it the bow in youre line and the angle of youre cable cable.......that 135 down on youre rigger isnt close to 135 deep
  8. i do a lot of layout for the shop (sheet metal)
  9. amazing how far off base a thread can go...this all started with a guy looking for a crimp tool:grin:
  10. i know it seems ridiculous that was kind of the point:grin:but it does get you pretty close....i should elaborate a little...cosine would be better to use becouse if you measure 20 degrees you would have to subtract that from 90 and use 70 as youre sine...where as if you use cosine you can use the actual 20 degrees....youre absolutely right about the basicly a french curve in the water...which is why free sliders dont fall to the bottom lure but im sure you could get pretty close in the shallower water
  11. just take a floating protractor and measure the angle of youre rigger cable...take the ft of cable you have out and that is youre hypotonuse....with these 2 dimensions you can figure youre actual depth:grin: say youre rigger is blown back at 45 degrees...just get youre calculater and hit sine of 45....that equals.707106781 multiply that by youre ft out...say 180...now you have .707106781 x 180=127.279 ft down...that way it doesnt matter how much youre cannonball weighs ..just measure blowback..
