  1. Yes, the company got cheap and then went out of business but I really like my old 240 Fisherman BUT my $7,000 boat cost me $42,000; transom, stringers and a new, bigger engine. On top of that the "mechanic" at the local marina turned out to be a parts replacer and cost me most of my charter season. Now I have a "new" old boat but after chartering in 3 different styles of boats, this is what I need.
  2. I am an "older"guy (70+) with an old boat (1988 Thompson) but new to this site. I run charters out of Cape Vincent and fish both the St. Lawrence River and Eastern Basin of Lake Ontario. This is the time of year when I collect fishing info and pass along some tips that I have learned since I started chartering in 1997. I am always open for info and if anyone is interested, I am located on the FishingBooker site.
