  1. ugg i hope the short shaft will work, gonna be interesting, some of the mounting brackets have about a nine inche drop,so placement is the key, dont want wash the motor every wave, im stuck with the short shaft its on my 14 footer,i only use this boat for spring walleye fishing about 4 weekends,so i want to get more use out of it.trolling with 2 cyllenders is all cheaper than 8,,crossing my fingers
  2. sorry frank it was the second tooth pick in the meat head i was refering to,ya still need to stick the first one in the head, got to use certified bait now and im not likeing the quality seems mushy and week and falls off.. any tips on your bait?

  4. hi everyone, this is my set up for my meat rigs,i use the plastic common meathead riggs different colors and sizes, one thing i keep the same is this,i use a peice of oxygen tubing or iv tubing that hosiptals use for paient care, some iv tubing is larger in diameter so go with the oxygen if ya can. slide meathead on your line cut a peice of oxygen tubing 1 3/4" long slide it on your line and tie on your trebble hook.this does three things gets rid of the tooth picks and protects the line from the fishes teeth and is the right lenght for most cut bait. i also put a dab of two part epoxy at the base of the trebble hook in between where all three hooks meet this prevents the line from entering the gap and being cut off, i do this to all my trebble hooks, hope this helps, PLAY HARD--FISH HARDER
  5. hello captains and fisherman, i would like to pick your brains a little bit if i may, i have a mercrusier 5.0 liter inboard outbouard and would like to install a kicker motor this year. i already have the kicker motor 9.9 merc short shaft. can you tell me what kind of bracket you have mounted and if ya like it. should i go with power up or manual? i would rather pay for this than gas 4$, 4.50$ gallon this year. my boat is flat on the stern and about 40" inches of free board with a small swim platform. i think i have room for a bracket but im concerned about the tilt and stering of the kicker.also like the option of having a second motor in case of some mishap with the main engine. one more thing is anyone installed a trollmaster on there kicker motor?and do you like it? i think it would be better if the kicker went up and down on its own power as my back is not as healthy as it use to be.and i am not getting any younger..THINK SPRING,GOOD LUCK TIGHT LINES TO ALL

  8. i think a led light that works off a small watch type battery would surfice, there brite and you turn it off and on when needed,i know batteries cost $$$ but the led lights i use to glow spoons seem to last forever,,,also id like to see a auto reset button on the counters like on line counter reels,,sometimes it seem like i could have another rigger set up and down fishing but im still spinning the little wheel on the counter to reset counter to 0,,one more thing hope they will adapt to the older big jons as well,,tight lines
