  1. Last week
  2. Talking to DNR Brian yesterday found out why Saturday was a zoo at SoHa launch. DNR launch in Benton Harbor has construction going on and not much room to park vehicle/trailer and only 1 lane for both in/out traffic. Sewer line broke and is being repaired.
  3. planers/ inline boards
  4. Great report. We had similiar results south of Saugatuck.
  5. Hope you got into em today!
  6. Thanks for the report. Heading that way tomorrow Sent from my iPad using Great Lakes Fisherman
  7. Fished again today with 3 in the boat. Got to the launch around 9:45 and noticed there were a few trailers in the lot. Ok, the most trailers I've seen at that launch in a while. Interesting. Got the boat setup and launched and finally started fishing around 10:30. Saw several boats coming back up the channel with claims of limits - they were north, they were south, etc. Well, at the pier heads there were double the number of boats south, so we went north. Trolled between 20 and 40 fow heading north with 2 fish to show for it by 12:00. Between 12 and 1, the fishing went nuts. Ended up 17/24. Coho dodgers on divers back 17-25 were hottest rods. Next hottest were thin fish any color 45-65 feet back of the boards. And third hottest were 1 and 3 color leadcores with mini streaks spoons. All lines caught fish, and we caught two more while clearing lines after getting our limit. Love the days where everything cooperates - including the fish.
  8. 1 color, 2 color, 3 color lead core.
  9. Nice job! Thought I knew most abbreviations, but I guess not? Please, what is 1C, 2C, 3C? Planers? Sent from my SM-S918U using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App

  14. 16 Coho for 18; threw 2 dinks back. Fished 37-42 fow from mile or so north of piers to 3 miles south. Just about everything took fish; 1C, 2C,3C, 2 mini disc dipseys, high line and 1 rigger. Brad’s Red/Bk Squiggles thin fish; Rapala firetiger; Yeck Hambone spoon; gold DOC spoon; other orange spoons shown; caught fish both uphill and down; Sog 2.3-3.1. Waves 1-3s from south.
  15. Earlier
  16. wrap them just like that and totes the size of a shoe box. tote for each size, and color
  17. 2012 prov ht. 30 rod holders , 3 riggers. I run church and offshore inline boards. Usually run 4 divers/2 per side. Leadcore from 1 to 10 colors and a couple 300 coppers when needed.
  18. We fished Friday and went 15 for 20ish. We couldn't get fish to go on north troll everything but one was south 24 to 32ft pump house to junk cars. We made one pass a mile past junk cars but nothing past them. We got 2 on a moonshine orange half slice and all the rest came on various thin fins the luminous green brads was the standout got like 6 or 7 110back.
  19. Headed back to PC in a couple weeks. is there a tackle shop in the area that may still have any of the Dave’s Kaboom Nitro Shiners? I only have a few left and was hoping there may be a shop out that way that might have a couple. Tight lines.
  20. Fished with three on the boat from about 11:30 am to 4 pm. Ended up 14/14 with 11 coho and 3 shaker kings. Got most fish before 2 pm when the wind kicked up considerably. Thin fish in fire tiger and red squiggles back 35-55 feet took a bunch of hits. As did mini streaks on 1 color, 2 color, mono lines with snap weights. Coho dodgers on divers took a few also. Speed was 2.5-3.5 and highly variable due to the wave surge. Depth of water - 15-40 fow.
  21. Way to find them! They certainly can be tricky sometimes. But if you do find them, there's usually a bunch of em!
  22. The wife and I hit the water around 10am and trolled from the beach to about 20 fow all the way to the state line and back only catching one coho. Once we got back by the pierhead we swung out deep to get around all the mud. That's when we started catching! We finished our 2 person limit between 40-45 fow fishing up high, all coho's. Orange spinnies/peanut flies and orange with black squiggles thin fish did the damage. We ran two small size dipsy divers set on 3 back 12' and 50' respectively. Those were the two hottest rods. The other 4 lines were high lines on planer boards.
  23. Went 19-21 with another 2-3 hits that failed to hook up. Trolled south down to the power plant in 20’ to 25’ of water. 2 mph at the ball and 2.7 mph at the surface. Steady action until we briefly turned back north by the chalets, but quickly turned back south as the bite turned off. Picked right back up on that south troll. Had a mix of thin fins, jointed stick baits, mag lips and spoons. Everything caught fish, but it definitely was a spoon bite for us today. 80% of our fish came on spoons. Wound up pulling two thin fins and one of the mag lips in favor of more spoons. Double orange crush was the hot bait. Sent from my iPad using Great Lakes Fisherman
  24. Went back today with a friend. Fished 12:10 pm to 3:50 pm. Fished from the piers to just south of the nuke plant. Went 11/15 with 8 coho, 1 steelhead, 1 nice brown and 1 shaker king. Speed 2.5-3.3. Fished between 15 and 40 fow. Basically all lines took fish. Spoons and thin fins/thin fish/orange dodger fly. Lines from 3 ft down to 15 ft down.
